H.E. Chatri Archjananun

H.E. Chatri Archjananun is the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) since February 2021.

Ambassador Archjananun had served in various diplomatic capacities at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand. These include as the Director General of the Department of Consular Affairs where he was in charge of the successful repatriation of Thai nationals stranded abroad during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as improvement of consular services for Thais and the visa process for foreigners through the introduction of e-visas.

His overseas assignments include Thai diplomatic and consular missions in Vietnam, Japan, and Switzerland. In Switzerland, Ambassador Archjananun served as Minister at the Permanent Mission of Thailand to the World Trade Organization, Geneva.

Ambassador Archjananun holds a Bachelor of Laws from Thammasat University, Thailand, and a Master of Laws from the University of Hull, United Kingdom. He was also a strong advocator for Thailand’s ratification of the UN Convention on Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).
