H.E. Mayerfas

H.E. Mayerfas is the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to the Kingdom of the Netherlands and Permanent Representative of the Republic of Indonesia to the Organisation for the Prohition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) since November 2020.

As a prominent career diplomat, he has held different strategic positions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, among others, Secretary General (2017-2020), Inspector General (2016-2017), and Secretary of the Directorate General of ASEAN Cooperation (2005-2010).

His overseas assignments include Indonesian diplomatic and consular missions in Ottawa (1990-1994), Geneva (1996-2000), and New York (2003-2006). He was Deputy Chief of Mission at the Indonesian Embassy in Beijing (2009-2012) and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam (2012-2016).

Ambassador Mayerfas is married and has two children.
